Description

By the start of the Fifth Era, the island of Shuul was a prosperous and fertile land inhabited by humans. It was at this time that the first Dragons came to Auriin, leading to a chain reaction that would see the birth of the great Taspian Empire, the founding of seven great stone cities from which its rulers commanded their forces, and the start of the great War of Dragons which would be waged for millennia to come. By the end of this era, the ruins of once mighty cities laid almost indiscernible from the charred rock that entombed the island, and molten lava bubbled where rivers once flowed.

During the dragon war the skies of Shuul were dark, the sun blotted out by a thick ashfall against which one may barely make out the silhouettes of the mighty dragons that wandered the skies. To witness a battle between dragons was an awesome encounter; the clouds of ash were illuminated with the flame and electricity of red and blue dragons, and ash-blackened snow fell as the breath weapons of white and silver dragons chilled the air and their roars consumed the soundscape.
