Minotaurs

Minotaurs were barrel-chested humanoids with heads resembling those of bulls. Their horns ranged in size from a foot long to great, curling weapons easily three times that length. They often ornamented their horns with metal rings or sheathed them in metal to protect them from damage.

Despite their bovine appearance, minotaurs were carnivorous beings. In early histories, minotaurs were known to feast on human flesh by preference, though in fact many lived peacefully among men and other races for many centuries.

Minotaurs in the wild dwelt in dark, maze-like forests across the south-west of Auriin where their innate sense of direction prevented them from getting lost.

Those that lived among other humanoids were most often spotted in Nurfel, where the small, remote settlements tended to be more welcoming.
